Chinatown Alleyway Tours (CATs) is a youth-run, youth-organized program that leads tours of Chinatown alleyways focusing on history and community issues. This wonderful group of young people cleans the alleys regularly, and is compiling a wonderful history of the neighborhood. The tours are an invaluable aid for becoming familiar with some of my favorite Chinatown locales, and are a real pleasure to go on. If you go, mention hearing about them through the treasure hunt.
