HUNT PACKAGES

Our treasure hunt programs include:

1. All written materials, including instructions, a set of clues and a map for each participant, score-sheets, a street index and other tools useful for solving clues.
2. A pre-hunt briefing covering:
   • An introduction to treasure hunting
   • Discussion on working effectively as a team, collaborative problem solving, thinking creatively, planning and carrying out a strategy, and avoiding common pitfalls.
   • Overview of the history and geography of the hunt area
   • Warm-up clues
3. Scoring of each team’s answer sheet and tabulation of the results.
4. Post-hunt analysis and de-briefing that includes an explanation of each clue, information about the historical and cultural significance of the mystery location it led to, and an analysis of what skills and techniques teams used to effectively solve the puzzles. This is followed by an announcement of the winners.
5. Prizes for the winning teams.

PRE-HUNT BRIEFING

We provide a detailed pre-hunt briefing tailored to your group's characteristics, needs and goals. This briefing covers:

• Hunt explanation, logistics and rules;
• Warm-up exercises that introduce team members to one another and stimulate creative thinking and collaboration;
• Various models for problem-solving, communication and decision making;
• Discussion of:
  • Group dynamics and personality styles;
  • How to fully motivate each team member and make maximum use of their talents and knowledge;
  • Individual effort and rewards vs. group effort and joint achievement.
  • Evaluating the group process: identifying success and failure.

POST-HUNT DE-BRIEFING & DISCUSSION:

At the end of the time alloted for the hunt, all teams gather at a specified location (a restaurant or conference facility) where we de-brief them on their experiences, helping them evaluate:

• What they observed about their group collaboration process.
• How effectively did they use resources?
• Did they encounter “tunnel thinking” and how did they deal with it?
• What would they do differently?
• What did they learn?

We then explain the correct answers to the puzzles and award prizes.
